The Alumni CLE Series presents "Representing Veterans in Family Court."

Presenter: Virgil Bradley '11, of Cornerstone Family Law. Virgil Bradley is a fourteen year combat veteran of the U.S. Military and focuses primarily on veterans legal issues. He was one of the founders of Minnesota Veterans Legal Assistance (MNVLA). Mr. Bradley will address family law issues of special concern to veterans and service members, and will review the special circumstances and complexities that can affect vets and their families. In particular, the CLE will discuss the laws and regulations that apply to those in military service and their families when it comes to divorce, parental rights, child support, and pensions, among other topics.

The keynote speaker for this event will be Judge William Thorne of the Utah Court of Appeals.  Judge Thorne is an expert on the issues of child abuse and neglect, disproportionality and the Indian Child Welfare Act.
